Mistaken identity

Who is this "MR. BATLEY!!!"? I must assure you that anyone even tangentially responsible for a three exclamation point undesirable burden is completely unrelated to me. Many Batleys are descended from young ladies who were unable to specifically identify the father of their child but were sure that he was a local lad. (Washingtons and Lincolns may have similar origins.) I, of course, am descended from Roger de Batley, the Norman squire who was assigned by William the Conqueror to the parish of Batley in order to keep the locals in line.
